The Company has specialised in special needs School transport since 2003. The Directors of the company have used their many years of special school transport experience to design and operate the best and most effective special needs school transport organisation in the country.
The company owns and operates a fleet of modern vehicles that are dedicated to school and social care transport. Vehicles are ordered and purchased specifically to the clients requirements. The average age of the vehicle fleet is less than 3 years.
Currently our fleet exceeds 1840 vehicles, consisting of cars, people carriers and 124 wheelchair accessible vehicles. We employ in excess of 1165 drivers and 1192 passenger assistants. All of our cars are to Euro 6 specification as a minimum ensuring a low carbon footprint within the community. The company operates to a high quality standards and has been awarded a 5 star grading by the Licensed Private Hire Car Association.
We understand that the needs of the travelling students are individual and special and each and every one of the students’ needs are continually assessed.
For each school to which we transport we appoint a dedicated contract manager and the directors of the company hold in-depth talks with the school whenever necessary to ensure that the clients needs and the needs of the school are addressed.
Drivers and escorts are allocated a route on a permanent basis and meet with students and parents/carers prior to the start of the term they can then get to know the client and work with the parents and the school to resolve any potential issues.

In addition the contract manager will speak to every parent/carer as a follow up to the driver and escorts meeting. Additional drivers and escorts are employed during the early stages of a contract to ensure smooth running and that alterations can be made swiftly if necessary.
We ensure that all of our staff are aware of the need for first class customer service and diplomacy. They are aware of the need for tolerance and aware of the pitfalls of advising or engaging with the students.

Sometimes for unavoidable operational reasons it is necessary to have a relief driver. All relief drivers and escorts are introduced to the students via the regular escort on school grounds.
Parents/carers are informed prior to any change in staff whether permanent or temporary allowing them time to prepare the student for the change.
Parents/carers have day to day communication with the company via the driver and escort and a low cost rate telephone number is allocated to each vehicle.
This will be directed at the escort for 6 rings and thereafter divert to the driver for a further six rings. The parents/carers also have access via a low cost phone number to the contract manager as well as having the ability to contact the Company’s office.
A code of practice in case of student illness whilst travelling forms a part of our safeguarding policy. In case of serious illness an ambulance will be called, the parent, School and the Passenger Transport will be informed.
Sometimes student numbers and pick up points will alter. In that case the routes are rescheduled to ensure that the on vehicle time is kept to a minimum.Read More
The relevant School and Passenger Transport authority is always asked to sanction any proposed change and we liaise with the school to ensure we keep changes to a minimum. However at all times the students’ needs are uppermost in our minds.
As an example of the lengths we go to in order to make travelling to and from school as easy and as stress free as possible for students, vehicles are individualised to specific journeys and students by giving them a name or a number or a colour image e.g a dog or bird or house. We find that this small thing makes travelling more fun and indeed in many cases the students look forward to finding the right vehicle for them.
Our drivers receive training over and above legal requirements.
This includes training in defensive driving techniques, sign language courses for all staff involved with students who have speech difficulties and awareness courses for autism, ADHD, aspergers and epilepsy training.

We have part time work available in your local area, the work is every school day for both am and PM runs. The work on average is between 12.5 and 20 hours per week.

We are licensed by Uttlesford District Council for Private Hire; you will need to be licensed as a driver by Uttlesford.
The vehicles supplied to you will need to be parked overnight in a safe location. And are supplied for work purposes only.
Passenger assistants will be required to attend a Passenger Assistant training course this is an interesting and informative course.
